Recital contest is a Dutch initiative by the MacLaren Pipe Band and is sponsored by Carrynette Highland outfitters and Go Drumming. It is the most spectacular and renewing piping competition in The Netherlands! Four solo pipers compete by playing a 30 minute recital in which they will try to amaze the audience (and each other). The competition is judged by the audience, by filling in voting forms. Besides top solo piping, Recital contest offers you an amusing entertaining evening, with lots of great music, and a bar where the recitals can be evaluated while enjoying a drink.
After our very successful grade 1 edtition last year, the organization has selected four international grade 1 pipers for you again! For more information, click on Competitors. This year’s competition will take place on november 12th in the Venlonazaal in Venlo (for more information click on Where and When).
